Our History

Our experienced team continues a long tradition of veterinary care in Bayswater that spans more than half a century.

In 1967, Michael Gordon took over the clinic, which has always been based in Alexander Street, Bayswater. Over the following decades, he helped establish the practice as a trusted veterinary centre for pet owners across London. In the mid-1980s, he expanded the practice by launching a referral service alongside the primary care clinic, enabling Bayswater Veterinary Clinic to provide specialist care to animals from a wide area.

During this period, Michael also worked with a number of fellow central London veterinary surgeons to help develop access to dedicated emergency and out-of-hours veterinary care for pets. This commitment to ensuring round-the-clock support reflected the practice's longstanding focus on providing the highest standards of care whenever it was needed.

Today, Michael Gordon remains the owner of Bayswater Veterinary Clinic and continues to be actively involved in the business, although he has retired from clinical practice. His vision and leadership have played a key role in shaping the practice's reputation and values.

Our Lead Veterinary Surgeon, Michael Punch, has been an integral part of the Bayswater Veterinary Clinic team for many years. With extensive experience and a deep understanding of the practice and its clients, he now leads our veterinary team, continuing the tradition of compassionate, high-quality care that has defined Bayswater Veterinary Clinic for generations.
